Thank you for this encouraging feedback. I agree we need more Reformed Irenicism. It seems to me that semper reformanda is usually either employed as a justification for biblical compromise or the opposite ditch of hard-hearted formalism. Thomas Oden has been instrumental for me in modeling such an irenic theology through his robust engagement with the Patristics.
