“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”” -Romans 10:12–13
Paul assures his audience that wherever faith is found, regardless of race, ethnicity, or nationality, the believer will be saved because there is only one Lord who is Lord of all.
Bestowing his riches refers to the magnanimity of God’s grace—which includes not only an abundance of kindnesses and mercies for the believer but also spiritual gifts by which the believer may bless others.
And to once again document his doctrine is not new but rooted in Scripture, he calls on the prophet Joel as a testimony: “And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved…” (Joel 2:32).
