The Christian Life is Supernatural

Supernatural is beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.

The calling of a Christian, a Christ-imitator, is a supernatural calling.

It is natural to want to defend our person, or possessions, our time, and our individual rights.

It takes a strong person to take the high road and just let some offences go. But that’s still natural.

It’s supernatural to let it go, and then willingly go the extra mile as well.

Jesus laid down his life both as a ransom for our sins and as an example of how to live.

It was anything but natural. It was supernatural.

That’s one reason we were given the Holy Sprit, our Parakletos.

And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.” (Matthew 5:40–42, ESV)
