An Admonition to Christian Ladies
There’s an old saying, “When Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”
There’s a reason that saying has survived as long as it has.
Wives can make all the difference in the spirit of the home, whether it’s a place to run for refuge or a place people refuse to go.
“It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.” (Proverbs 21:9, ESV)
“It is better to live in a desert land than with a quarrelsome and fretful woman.” (Proverbs 21:19, ESV)
“It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.” (Proverbs 25:24, ESV)
“A continual dripping on a rainy day and a quarrelsome wife are alike;” (Proverbs 27:15, ESV)
