The Heavy Lifting is in Your Head

More often than not, we burden ourselves unnecessarily. Christ is a gentle master. He did the heavy lifting for us. If your burden seems too heavy, it’s probably because you’re still trying to do the heavy lifting in your head.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”” (Matthew 11:28–30, ESV)

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1, ESV)
